Dr Mitesh Badiani BDS DPDS
Mitesh has over 20 years of dental experience. Mitesh has also been active in supporting overseas communities. He has set up a charity hospital in Gujarat in North West India that currently treats general patients as well as provides eye surgery and dental treatment. He is also involved in setting up a charitable dental unit in Uganda.
Mitesh is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Warwick as part of the post graduate implant dentistry programme.
Awards / Achievements
Awarded lifetime achievement award by the C group (Charity dedicated to injured Royal Marines) for services provided to medically discharged royal marines.
Led Devon Dental Centre of Excellence and Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence to win ‘Team of the Year’ in 2013 and 2014.
Named National Dentist of the Year and Dentist of the Year (South) at the Dental Awards 2015.
Grapes Dental Surgery is collaborating with the C Group charity – which supports Royal Marines whose military careers have ended prematurely due to injury – to provide free dental treatment to medically discharged marines.
The charity is supported by the West Country 100 Club, which has Grapes Dental Practice dentist Mitesh Badiani as a founding member. C Group also assists the families of serving and former Royal Marines who are living in hardship or distress.
C Group offers a multitude of options to help bring about successful outcomes for the marines and their families. This includes working with its expanding business network to provide advice, mentoring, training, alternative careers, and where necessary, financial support.
The charity also offers a free recruitment service to businesses that wish to recruit former Royal Marines to make use of their skills in the corporate environment.
Zoe qualified in 1998 from Liverpool University . Following qualification she worked for Warrington Community Clinic where her work included running a conscious sedation clinic for nervous children, seeing medically compromised adults and some oral surgery.
Since 2001, Zoe has worked in general practice and brought up a young family. Zoe offers a gentle and caring approach to dentistry, carrying out a range of dental procedures and is happy to discuss any dental problems or dental wishes any patient may have.
New dentist Alexandru Popescu brings his specialist skills to Grapes
Grapes Dental Surgery is proud to introduce new team member Alexandru Popescu Who specialises in Laser treatment.
Alex has 13 year’s experience in both General Dentistry and Oral Surgery. He trained at Bucharest 2003
He comes to Grapes being one of the 25 dentists in the UK certified to perform the keyhole Gum recession treatment using the Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation technique.
Philip McCauley BSc, BDS, MFDS RCS ED. FICOI

Philip McCauley graduated from Queen’s University Belfast Dental School in 1999. After a year in general practice Philip then worked for a year as a Senior House Officer in the Oral Surgery department at Poole General Hospital gaining valuable experience in dentoalveolar surgery as well as passing the MFDS examination in May 2001. Philip has completed many post graduate courses, notably the year restorative course with Michael Wise in 2004.
Philip went straight into the field of oral implantology and has been placing and restoring dental implants since 2002, when he was awarded the a Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Philip carries out all aspects of implant dentistry including multiple implant cases, full mouth rehabilitation on implants, bone augmentation, bone grafting and has a special interest in the field of immediate loading of dental implants for single, multiple, full arch and full mouth implant cases.
In recent years Philip has been lecturing to local dentists on simple restorative implant cases, mainly using the DENTSPLY Implants Ankylos system, and is coordinating the set-up of a Study Club for local dentists on challenging restorative cases.
More recently Philip has been to Bologna, Italy, to learn the application of cutting edge technology to help in the rehabilitation of immediately placed implants, using the Weld-one intra-oral resistance spot welding device. This is a very exciting new field in implant dentistry

Laura qualified in 2012 from the Eastman Dental Hospital. Laura worked in special care dentistry in Devon for 4 years, before moving back to Dorset. As a Dental Therapist , Laura provides Hygiene Treatment, fillings for Adults and Children can extract primary teeth .

Andre started at Grapes Dental practice in October 1979. She was Rob Grape’s nurse until he retired in 2009.
Now she oversees the running of the Practice but still manages to do some chair side dental nursing as well.
She has a 18 year old daughter.

Angela started her dental nursing career in the WRNS. She has 2 daughters aged 28 and 26. She has been with the practice since 1978 nursing for Rob Grapes until his retirement in 2009. As well as being a part time dental nurse she also is the medical secretary at the local GP surgery.

Charlotte is 28, and on Maternity now until March 2019, she joined our practice in September 2011 whilst working towards her dental nurse national diploma in dental nursing, which she passed in June 2012.
Lexie is 22, she joined the practice in May 2016 as a qualified dental nurse.
